Job Description:

The Counseling & Wellness Center’s (CWC) Testing & Assessment program provides limited psychological testing services for enrolled UF students to aid with obtaining a better sense of the intensity and range of  individual symptoms and functioning. Psychological testing and assessments may include psychoeducational testing; such as Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or personality testing like anxiety and mood disorders. The CWC Testing & Assessment student assistant is responsible for assisting the program Assistant Director in the fulfillment of testing program goals at the Counseling & Wellness Center.

This will be a hybrid position, with some remote ability and some on site requirements (minimum 2-3 hours per week on site required).

Job Start Date: July 2024 (as soon as filled)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

          • Assisting CWC Testing Program with duties including, but not limited to: scanning documents, calling students to confirm their appointments and make sure they have all relevant paperwork, meeting students on zoom to provide testing links, assisting with requests for documentation to students, keep the testing rooms stocked with printed test material, helping to organize the testing spaces, checking consent forms to ensure they are filled out properly, helping with data collection, and making sure the IPADS are charged and updated (weekly)
          • Maintaining a “records request” list on excel
          • Responding to trainee emails about any technical difficulties (and sending IT tickets/meeting with IT when necessary)
          • Meeting every one to two weeks with the Testing Director
          • Maintaining an inventory of all testing supplies
          • Developing Qualtrix surveys and feedback reports
          • Assisting in outreach related to promoting a better understanding of testing, mental health, learning difficulties, executive functioning difficulties, etc.
          • Clerical duties such as copying, faxing, scanning, receiving/distributing mail, running errands, keeping office areas clean, maintaining calendars and preventing schedule overlap, responding to staff inquiries, helping remove old files from testing computers (may require IT ticket)
          • Participating in research related to additional tests that may benefit the testing team or collecting literature related to assessment in the college population
          • Keeping the Testing Director updated with any technical or other related concerns
          • Other similar duties as directed by supervisor
NOTE:
            All duties related to scanning, stocking materials, and checking on technology will require in person work. 2-3 hours per week will be expected to be on site. Other hours may be  completed remotely.

 

Expected Salary:

$14/hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • Federal Work Study Award (Check with UF financial aid to determine eligibility)
  • Able to work a minimum of 5 hours per week, with 20 hours maximum
  • Anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026 or later
  • Able to engage in a flexible work schedule that includes evening/weekend hours
  • Able to work in a hybrid work environment (in-office and remote duties); requires access to personal computer and internet.
  • Not currently employed anywhere else on UF campus using Federal Work Study
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient with word and excel
  • Previous experience in the health field and related sensitivity for health information privacy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail
  • Positive, friendly, professional attitude
  • Reliable, with good follow through
  • Able to perform some physical tasks such as moving paperwork or testing materials to different spaces
