STU AST- NON CLERICAL & ADMIN

The Office of Admissions is currently recruiting outgoing and motivated student assistants to serve as the initial point of contact and provide campus walking tours for prospective students and families at the UF Welcome Center.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Customer Service: Act as an ambassador for the Office of Admissions and the University of Florida by being the initial point of contact for guests at the Welcome Center, by phone, email, or in-person. Student assistants will be expected to provide accurate information and answer questions related to the Office of Admissions, the University of Florida, and tours.
• Campus Tours: Conduct walking tours of UF campus to prospective and admitted students, families, and high school groups.
• Recruitment: Assist with outreach programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

$13/hour

• Must be a current University of Florida student
• Available to work during Summer 2024
• Ability to stand and walk campus for extended periods, delivering tours and speaking to groups of varying sizes

• Knowledge of UF campus and history, including UF residence halls, meal plans, and campus life
• Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and courteous
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality, and exercise good judgment
• Demonstrates professional etiquette
• Ability to identify and shift priorities when necessary
