Job Description:

Collect, describe, code, record, preserve, retrieve and report liability claims financial data. Audit all defense attorney and all other allocated loss expense invoices for compliance with documentation requirements, contract terms and departmental expenditure policies. Coordinate with administrative and external financial staff the resolution of any discrepancies on invoices.

Maintain the vendor log database, by inputting the appropriate data when the invoices are first received. Update the vendor log database throughout the entire auditing process. Collect and input appropriate data from vendor documents and maintain accurate database to limit duplicate payments and facilitate timely payment processing.

Audit all departmental staff travel reimbursement requests for compliance with travel guidelines and policy. Resolve any discrepancies between policy and reimbursement requests as required. Secure appropriate supervisor approval of departmental staff travel reimbursements prior to check issuance. Prepare all financial payment request documents in anticipation of check issuances. Maintain complete and accurate departmental staff travel expense files by individual(s).

Perform monthly comparison between the departmental database for allocated loss expenses to the allocated loss expense spreadsheet journals to ensure the accuracy of related financial transactions. Resolve any discrepancies as required. Maintain the database monthly report files.

Post all checks clearing the outside bank statement to the check register on a monthly basis. Post checks cleared to the appropriate allocated loss expense or non-allocated loss expense spreadsheet journals. Compare total of checks cleared to the total appearing on the bank statement to ensure accuracy.

Responsible for other miscellaneous financial spreadsheets as requested. Perform miscellaneous fiscal duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area.
