Job Description:

The Department of Cardiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks an Electrophysiologist at the academic rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, Full Professor. This is a tenure or non-tenure track position and will report directly to the Chief of Cardiology.

Our internationally recognized faculty are leaders in cardiac care, research and education. The division provides services across Northeast Florida, including at the UF Health Cardiovascular Center, which has the region's only fully integrated, comprehensive heart programs and the resources of an academic medical center. The center's programs include the Coronary Interventional Program, Nuclear Program, Electrophysiology Program, Non-Invasive Program, and Peripheral Interventional Program. 

Responsibilities

  • Participates (in conjunction with Division Chief) as requested in the long-range planning of EP Labs, including, but not limited to, equipment selection, budgeting and staffing.
  • Provides and maintains a high level of quality in-patient and out-patient electrophysiology care.
  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate, complete and timely patient and other records regarding EP Lab in order to facilitate the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Participate in the electrophysiology on-call schedule/rotation.
  • Assist Management in maintain (acquiring) all appropriate accreditations for Electrophysiology Laboratories
  • Active participation Electrophysiology Fellowship Program.

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be MD/DO, Ability to obtain a Florida Medical License

Preferred Qualifications:

BE/BC in Cardiology with high interest and expertise in Electrophysiology
