Job Description:

Student Assistant needed for the Map & Imagery Library at the University of Florida. Duties include, but are not limited to: filing maps and atlases, maintaining databases, organization projects, assisting library patrons, other tasks as needed.

 

Hours: 9 – 10 hrs/week

Map & Imagery Library hours during Summer semester:

Monday -Thursday 8 am – 6 pm; Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Expected Salary:

$13.50/hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • Once trained, will be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, detail oriented, and work well with others.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc…).
  • Must have Federal Work Study award for Summer 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Able to include evening hours (5-6 pm) in your work schedule.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Knowledge of world geography.
  • Previous library experience.
