Job Description:

System Configuration and Deployment
Configures and deploys standard computer equipment and updates existing systems utilizing enterprise imaging systems and application installers. Verifies network, data, and endpoint management systems are fully functional. Escalates non-standard configuration requests to the supervisor or appropriate Tier-2 support team.

Staff assigned to field support teams require the ability to individually lift 30 pounds or team lift 60 pounds, transport equipment on carts, drive a passenger vehicle, and travel within the state of Florida. Additional requirements include the ability to utilize hand tools and perform cable management under desks and limited access spaces.

Client Computing Support
Provides basic troubleshooting and performs minor repairs, device exchange, or application installation as needed to restore service. Escalates unresolved incidents to the appropriate Tier-2 support team.

Enterprise Services Support
Provide Tier-1 support for enterprise IT services including storage, network, audio-visual, IT security, and enterprise workgroup applications. Support includes standard configuration and/or troubleshooting steps as documented in process documentation and the knowledgebase.  Escalates unresolved incidents to the appropriate Tier-2 support team. 

Systems Support
Documents all work and processes in service management and asset systems. Actively participates in team meetings which includes review and improvement in work processes, knowledge support systems, and IT provided services. Participates in technical and customer service training and inter-team technical projects as directed.

Expected Salary:

$40,000 – $48,000

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of current Windows and/or Mac OS X operating systems, network troubleshooting (LAN/wireless), and performing hardware diagnostics and repair. 

Basic knowledge of common administrative, educational and research applications and services and familiarity with service management industry best practices are strongly preferred. 

The successful candidate will have a strong customer-centric service orientation and excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational and collaboration skills. Discretion, sound judgment, confidentiality, initiative, and interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position.
