Federal Work Study- STU AST - CLERICAL & ADMIN

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences, Division of Radiology in the College of Dentistry, is recruiting for a Federal Work Study Student Assistant. This position will assist the Clinic supervisor and Radiology technicians in the Oral Radiology Clinic.

The principal duties and responsibilities assigned to this position are:

• Answering phones calls
• Making and confirming appointments
• Assisting in inputting charges and closing out radiology requests
• Obtaining insurance claims for patients
• Verifying patient’s insurance and authorizations for CT scans
• Cleaning and stocking operatories
• Perform other duties as assigned.

$13.00 per hour

Must have Federal Work Study Award.

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exercise discretion in handling confidential and privileged information.
• Excellent organizational, time management and follow-through skills.
• High-level attention to detail, accuracy is essential.
• Ability to handle a large volume of detailed information.
• Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and be able to multi-task.
• Professional demeanor and dress.
• Reliability is critical and eager to learn.
