Assists with repairs and preventive maintenance on faucets, sinks, traps, commodes, urinals, and flush valves
Assists with installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing sanitary and storm sewer lines, including rod sewer lines
Assists with repairs and preventive maintenance on gas, vacuum, air, chilled, steam, and hot water lines
Cleans and maintains shop and personal plumbing equipment, and personal protective equipment
Assists install and repair plumbing for laboratories and classrooms including safety showers, drinking fountains, water heaters, point of use water filters, and reverse osmosis systems, pools, and waterfall fountains.
Provides support to other trades and contractors
Assists with rough-in plumbing for minor construction projects including minor plumbing layout
A criminal background and post-offer health assessment will be conducted.
Schedule may vary depending on location - 40 hours per week - Emergencies as needed - Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy
Drives a state vehicle that requires a valid driver license.
He/she begins the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) CORE. May participate in the NCCER Plumbing Level 1 curriculum
