The Office of Research Affairs at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to further grow our research focus on implementation science. We are seeking established, extramurally-funded implementation scientist(s) who will expand our engagement of the health issues that affect the population we serve and also provide value-add to our existing federally funded programs in the areas of respiratory health, neurorehabilitation, and/or population genomics. As our mission is to translate groundbreaking research to our patients and community, implementation science is a key area of focus for our college. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant academic community and contribute to advancing research within a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.
This position offers opportunities for both tenured and non-tenured academic tracks, depending on the candidate's experience, background, and whether or not the candidate is a clinician.
The University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville’s research ecosystem is thriving with a growing reputation in the southeast and nationally. Over the last five years, total funding has grown by 63% through strategic integration with the main campus in Gainesville, investments on access to healthcare data, enhanced data analytics (through our Center for Data Solutions), and machine learning through partnerships with the University of Florida’s Integrated Data Repository and HiPerGator high performance computing system. To support successful candidates, the Office of Research Affairs houses robust services for grant management, finances and compliance as well as patient recruitment/follow-up, industry clinical trials, entrepreneurship, and research training.
