The Research Coordinator III (RC III) is responsible to the Director of HealthStreet (Dr. Linda B. Cottler) and Deputy Director (Dr. Catherine Striley) and is the supervisor of all HealthStreet operations. The RC III oversees the management of an internationally recognized community engagement research program. HealthStreet links community residents with medical and social services, and opportunities to participate in research. The HealthStreet model is also engaged with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) of UF. The RC III works closely with all staff of HealthStreet who are currently employed by the Department of Epidemiology, located in the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) and the College of Medicine (COM). The RC III oversees functions and ensures metrics are followed, develops new relationships with investigators for studies, aids in the development of new initiatives, keeps the cohort identification database up to date and makes presentations on our behalf. This position is the face of the organization.
The Research Coordinator III (RCIII) will oversee all functions at HealthStreet, including promoting community engaged research at the University of Florida. They will also work with our FSU partners. The RC III will develop structured, ongoing communication strategies to assure community engagement, and to ensure HealthStreet manuals are up to date and protocol fidelity is kept. This effort requires managing, training, and supervising staff, Community Health Workers (CHWs), student interns, and volunteers, keeping schedules and documenting all activities. All grant staff funded to HealthStreet will be under the supervision of the RCIII.
The RC III will engage community partners to further the mission of HealthStreet. HealthStreet engages with the community to reduce disparities in access to service and research to improve health and well-being.
The RC III will facilitate meetings with the Community Advisory Board and Recruitment Center of the CTSI to continue HealthStreet as a functioning, state of the art community engagement program at UF, working with the protocol established by the Director and Deputy Director of HealthStreet.
The RC III will assist in grant writing related to HealthStreet aims and goals. They will participate on national and local conference calls as necessary.
The RC III will review the completeness and accuracy of all presentations given by the Director and Deputy Director for meetings with investigators locally and nationally and work with our data analyst to create an archival database of these presentations.
The RC III will work with the Cottler Lab Operations Manager to be sure that the studies have been invoiced monthly for the work performed.
The RC III will work with the Data Management Analyst II to keep track of analyses of data for publications, and will review presentations, using PowerPoint software, for meetings with investigators, locally and nationally.
The RC III will help seek donors and foundation resources for HealthStreet.
