Job Description:

Expedited submissions of varying types:
Post-approval review of submissions to ensure appropriateness. Generate approval letters and stamped documents with approval/expiration dates.  Process submissions in myIRB and IRB database.

Full Board submissions:
Post-approval review of submissions to insure appropriateness. Enter meeting results into myIRB/IRB database.  Generate approval letters and stamped documents with approval/expiration dates.

Pre-Board Meeting functions include:
Prepare IRB-01 Full Board meeting agendas.  Evaluate research proposal content relative to the appropriate format, adequate completion and correct language in order to be distributed to the Committee or the Chair for review.  This includes processing submissions electronically in myIRB 

Full Board Meeting Functions Include:
Attend IRB meetings, start the voting system, count the votes of the members, collate reviewer comment sheets, input results into myIRB/database, and close out the voting process  Attend staff post board meeting for final confirmation of votes and motions.  Collaborate with researchers on meeting results. Assist with taking Full Board meeting notes into the minute templates. Assist with accurately composing and generating letters to the principal investigators that report the results of the IRB Full Board review and instruct them when changes are required.

Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$40,000 - $45,000 yearly

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience.  Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training my substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of the on-line CITI training (IRB regulations). Attention to detail, problem solving techniques, motivated, and work well in a team setting. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with faculty, staff and coworkers. 

Proficient/accurate with computers, typing, spelling, grammar, medical terminology, proof reading and telephone.   Experience with myIRB is a plus.
