Job Description:

This position works as part of a creative team that includes a communications manager, a marketing and communications specialist, a web designer, web developer, and other student designers. The ideal candidate for this position will be primarily a graphic designing, possessing  strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Photoshop, In-design and Illustrator). An ideal candidate may have some knowledge of HTML, CSS and wire framing. Excellent oral and written communications, and a professional demeanor are required. This is a part-time position up to 20 hours a week. Work hours are flexible but employee must be able to work at least 12 hours a week. Must be a self-starter who can follow directions carefully and requires minimal supervision. Candidate must be able to work at least two sequential semesters. Federal Work Study (FWS) preferred, but all students eligible to work on campus will be considered.

Advertised Salary:

$10.50-$11.00/hour. This is an hourly OPS position and does not include a tuition/fee waiver or benefits.

Minimum Requirements:

All students eligible to work on campus may apply. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Position is available for up to 20 hours a week.  To be considered, you must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours a week and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Applicants must have a portfolio of previous design work to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Federal Work Study (FWS) preferred.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A solid understanding of how design translates across all devices – from desktop to tablet to mobile
  • Excellent sense of layout, typography, color, imagery and composition
  • Some HTML and wire framing experience good, but not essential
