The FIP will develop outreach and educational strategies for the surrounding counties and provide those presentations when not in term. The FIP will also be responsible for assisting the director in other clinical projects. The FIP will assist the director in managing the Tax Court Calendar Call Program in Jacksonville, FL.

The University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville is currently seeking a Family Medicine physician to join our team as the Associate Chair of Clinical Operations and Clinic Medical Director of an assigned clinic. This person will have a minimum rank of Associate Professor/Professor in the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine. The Associate Chair of Clinical Operations will provide leadership and oversight of all clinical operations for the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine for about half of the department’s 28 clinics. This physician will be responsible for the oversight and management of half of the primary care network and receives direct supervision and support from the Chair of Community Health and Family Medicine. This dynamic opportunity is for an individual who is able to fully engage in effective clinical operations. The ideal candidate will be an MD or DO who is board certified in family medicine, and holds a minimum rank of associate professor. The candidate should have strong clinical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. The candidate should be able to develop innovative and collaborative operational strategies and metrics. The evidence of active engagement in academic family medicine operations is strongly desired. Prior leadership positions including those involving clinical operations, patient safety and quality of care are desired. The academic appointment will be at a rank of Associate or Full Professor.
