The Camp Timpoochee Summer Leadership Team is comprised of the Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, Camp Health Director, and the Summer Camp Coordinators. The Camp Health Director reports directly to the camp directors. The Camp Health Director is the lead medical professional on the camp staff, responsible for managing the health center and handling any and all medical related situations that arise. The Camp Health Director is responsible for distribution of approved prescription and over-the-counter medications/first aid to our campers. Campers or staff members with serious ailments/injuries are transported to the local urgent care facility or hospital by camp staff. All camp staff will be required to have American Red Cross certification in CPR/FA/AED before summer camp starts. For staff not yet certified, training will be provided prior to start of camp. The Camp Health Director will be provided housing on- site and will be expected to be on-call 24 hours a day, Monday morning through Friday afternoon. The official first day of camp will begin on Monday, June 5, 2023, and will end Friday, July 28, 2023. We are looking for applicants that can work any number of weeks (1-7 weeks). Training will begin a few days before the employee’s start date and will consist of training in youth protection and time for organizing the health center. Training will also include going through program certifications (if not already certified), familiarizing staff with their facility, traditions, and making final preparations for summer.
