This position will focus primarily on patients with aortic conditions including heritable aortic disease, connective tissue disorders such as Marfan Syndrome, Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, and Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, as well as other genetic variants. The UF Health Aortic Disease Center combines leading-edge science with compassionate and personalized care by providing evidence-based, comprehensive care to patients with aortic disease using a multidisciplinary approach which includes cardiovascular surgery, vascular surgery, cardiology, anesthesia, interventional radiology, genetics and nursing. As part of this initiative, the Genetics Institute (UFGI) in partnership with the UF College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position focusing on applying chemical genomic/medicinal chemistry methodologies to nuclear hormone receptors as well as other target classes (via interaction with the Center for Natural Products, Drug Discovery and Development) with utilization of AI /structure-based drug design. Individuals in this position would also be expected to teach in the College of Pharmacy PharmD/PhD curriculum (<25% effort). This position will be filled at the Assistant or Associate faculty level in the UFGI. Ranking is commensurate with education and experience.
