The University of Florida seeks an Academic Program Specialist II to join the School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education (HDOSE). Primary responsibilities will be to our CACREP-accredited Counselor Education program. HDOSE is a collaborative, energetic community committed to preparing quality scholar practitioners. This 12-month position will have program and clinical administration responsibilities in the Counselor Education Program, coordinating Practicum and Internship (P & I). Roles and responsibilities include: coordinating school and community-based practicum and internship placements; enhancing partnerships with local community agencies, private practices, and schools; providing ongoing professional development for site supervisors and facilitating data collection, program assessment and reporting (e.g. CACREP). Additional duties will be assigned by the School Director. This 12-month staff appointment will begin in fall 2025. Experience in training and supervision in counselor preparation is desirable, as the focus of this position is coordination of field experiences.
