The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is working with UF’s Recreation, Ecotourism, and Conservation (REC) Lab to better understand visitation to FWC wildlife management areas (WMA) throughout Florida. To do this, The School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences (in conjunction with the REC Lab) is hiring part-time OPS employees to collect visitor assessment data at WMA’s throughout the State of Florida. SFFGS would like to hire OPS employees in each of the three regions: North Florida; Central Florida, and South Florida. The area and number of OPS employees hired may vary depending on the applicant’s location. The OPS employee will be required to travel to remote locations, collect visitation data, and upload data to REC Lab computers. They may also be involved in other aspects of work: developing questionnaires, writing reports, and presenting their collection data at conferences.
