Institutional Planning and Research is seeking an Assistant Director for Operations. This person plays a pivotal role in responding to requests from the Florida Board of Governors (BOG), managing internal and external compliance requests, reviewing academic program proposals, and maintaining technical resources for the office. This individual will collaborate with university administration, colleges and departments, and the Florida Board of Governors. The position reports directly to the Associate Provost and is part of the leadership team.
The Assistant Director is responsible for responding to requests from the Florida Board of Governors (BOG) as well as internal and external data requests. Duties also include reviewing academic program proposals, managing authorized user access to restricted data systems, and maintaining technical assets and licenses for the office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit university responses to BOG data requests
- Manage biannual file submissions to the Space Data Management System.
- Assist the Compliance Office with the biannual submission of Foreign Gifts and Contracts.
- Participate in planning for new compliance projects. Assess the impact of new university, state, and federal regulations.
- Track status and completion of projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review and respond to new academic degree and certificate proposals, pending for Institutional Planning & Research, in consultation with the Associate Provost.
- Track and maintain authorized users to the State University Data System (SUDS), with appropriate monthly records for the annual Performance Funding audit
- Maintain a current and accurate inventory of computer equipment and software for the Institutional Planning and Research office. Develop a plan for upgrades.
- Maintain authorized users to Academic Analytics systems, in consultation with the Associate Provost.
- Maintain a current list of Tableau users and roles for the Provost office. Manage billing across offices for these licenses. Coordinate with UFIT access for Tableau server roles.

- Prior experience in university planning, reporting, and compliance.
- Prior administrative experience
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel pivot tables
- Strong analytical, oral and written communications skills.
- Attention to details, accuracy, and organizational skills are essential.
