Job Description: |
- Assist with design and layout of components, equipment and systems related to water resources research, extension and teaching.
- Construct, assemble and repair of soil and water equipment and systems.
- Conduct field work locally and remotely for project installations, repair and data collections.
- Organize and maintain assigned lab areas and field locations.
- Locate and purchase materials, components and equipment related to water resources research and teaching.
- Assist with other technical staff duties for general ABE department.
- Train new students to use equipment and perform necessary tasks.
- Oversee safety requirements in the lab and the field.
- Provide a collegial environment and teamwork atmosphere.

Expected Salary: |
Commensurate with Education and Experience.

Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
|
Preferred Qualifications: |
Knowledge of irrigation and drainage systems. Must maintain a valid Florida Driver's License for operating state vehicles.
