The Department of Medicine invites applications for the position of Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the internal medicine residency program. Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop and implement educational goals and objectives aligned with the institution's mission and vision.
• Fulfill all ACGME requirements of the Program Director (available at www.acgme.org).  Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residency program, including scheduling, curriculum development, and evaluation processes.
• Lead the recruitment and selection process for incoming resident physicians, ensuring a fair and equitable selection process.  Coordinate interview days, applicant evaluations, and ranking activities in collaboration with the residency selection committee.  Develop and implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of highly qualified applicants to the residency program.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards set forth by the ACGME or other relevant accrediting bodies.  Lead efforts to identify areas for improvement within the residency program and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.  Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to maintain accreditation status.

Salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification in internal medicine or a medical specialty.

• Prior experience in medical education and residency program leadership preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
