The electron microscopy technologist will provide support to the electron microscopy manager in the operation and management of the Electron Microscopy Laboratory of the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine. The technologist will assist in the preparation and examination of biological samples for transmission electron microscopy. The technologist will operate all equipment and instrumentation, including, but not limited to, ultramicrotome, cryostat, fume hood, transmission electron microscope, digital camera. In addition, this position will be cross trained to work in the gross room. Staff is responsible for performing gross examinations and dictation, anatomic pathology accessioning of anatomic pathology specimens and specimen processing for clinical pathology specimens.
