Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, Department of Surgery, Division of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery seeks a full-time faculty member at the non-tenure level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.  We are seeking candidates with graduate medical training in Otorhinolaryngology and/or sub-specialty training in Sleep Medicine/Surgery, ENT Allergy, Otology-Neurotology, Laryngology or Rhinology-Skull Base Surgery to assist us in transforming the Division of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery to serve our growing community through multi-disciplinary care and collaboration.  By focusing on the core ENT subspecialties and their related sensory functions for human communication, specifically, Otology/Neurotology and the sense of hearing, Laryngology and the voice, Rhinology and the sense of smell/olfaction, we seek to create a vibrant Division of Otorhinolaryngology with a spotlight on Communication Disorders.  Additionally, subspecialty “centers of clinical excellence” will be developed for each section to meet our mission of being the region’s most valued surgical health care asset.  The division is poised for growth and we are excited to offer this opportunity.

The Division of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery is part of the Department of Surgery within the University of Florida College of Medicine.  It is part of UF Health Jacksonville, a not-for-profit tertiary care referral hospital that serves the population of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.  It has, 695 licensed beds, 450 faculty physicians, a Level 1 trauma program, 39 accredited residency programs, several research programs and supports approximately 23,685 adult admissions annually.  lt is part of UF Health, the Southeast’s most comprehensive academic health center, with campuses in Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Central Florida.

Expected Salary:

Academic appointment will be commensurate with training and level of experience; compensation is competitive, benefits are excellent.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have a MD/DO, and must have completed Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency, and/or Fellowship training in Sleep Medicine/Surgery, Otology-Neurotology, Laryngology, or Rhinology Skull Base Surgery. General Otolaryngology candidates with AAOA certification will also be considered.
