Job Description:

The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics is seeking an enthusiastic and outstanding candidate to fill a grant-funded Post-Doctoral Associate position. This position is under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Staras, Ph.D., who is Associate Chair of Faculty Development and Associate Professor in Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics. The post-doctoral associate will play a role in all stages of Implementation Science Research including research design, intervention development, trial management, analysis, and presentation.
The job responsibilities include a full range of research-related tasks, including writing abstracts, leading manuscript authorships, conducting analyses, preparing educational intervention materials and assessments, and developing surveys.

Successful candidates should have an interest in testing the implementation of evidence-based interventions in clinical and community settings, supporting decisions with theoretical methods and evidence, conducting analysis of complex research designs, and presenting results. Additionally, candidates must be committed to working with diverse professional and community populations.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage research project operations including collecting data from participants, meeting with community partners, and developing intervention materials. The individual will learn how to manage large study teams and multilevel projects. 

Perform quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis. As well as assist in the creation of the data collection tools and working with statistical and study team to ensure the safety and rigor of the research data. 

Develop academic and intervention materials including conference abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, PowerPoint slides, assessment materials. 

Expected Salary:

$61,000 - $63,000

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in related fields (statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, applied mathematics, geography, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience writing conference abstracts.

Experience writing manuscripts for journal submission.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Practical experience in statistics, data science, predictive modeling, and other related areas.

Knowledge in epidemiology methods.
