Reviews daily abuse reports to the Florida Hotline to determine the mandatory referrals for
the Department of Children and Families to consult with CPT, per state statute. Determines
situations requiring a medical examination or further testing/ hospital services/record reviews and in
conjunction with supervisors and medical director.

Provides diagnostic evaluations and medical consultations regarding abused and neglected
children under the direction of the Medical Director. Takes patient histories, conducts physical
examinations, and records the data in the patient’s record; writes progress notes and narrative
discharge summaries; prepares patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and
negative findings. Prepares medical reports.

Consults with Case Coordinators, Program Coordinators and participates in Case Reviews
and Team Staffing's. Refers children exhibiting abnormal findings for additional physician evaluation.
Provides physician and pharmacist referrals to patients in need of further medical care and services.
- Provides depositions and court testimony as required.

Maintains inventory and ordering of medical supplies, assisting with recertification of clinic
licensing and applications for medical supplies.

Contributes to the development, implementation, and expansion of programs and initiatives.
Participates in meetings, functions, events, and committees, as well as in a team of interdisciplinary
health care providers. Performs all other duties, as assigned.
