Job Description:

A postdoctoral research position is currently available in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida with Dr. Amanda Elton. Research areas include fMRI-based investigations of cognitive neuroscience, risk and resilience mechanisms in the development of psychopathology, and longitudinal development of substance use.  The position will involve analysis of data from ongoing studies and large-scale public datasets and will also offers opportunities to be involved in the development of new projects. The successful applicant will conduct statistical analyses independently and in collaborations, author peer-reviewed publications, and present findings at scientific conferences.

Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida are engaged in groundbreaking projects covering a variety of interests through our Centers, labs, and collaborations with other departments. Department Psychiatry includes a large outpatient center with various specialty clinics within (including one associated with our Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment), a very active inpatient service, psychiatry collaborative program for primary care practitioners, school consultation program, and community consultation services. Expected Salary:

$54,840.00 annually

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Experience with fMRI data analysis as indicated by published manuscripts or preprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other programming experience. Experience with UNIX shell scripting.
