| The Veterinary Care Technician III (VCT3) under minimal general supervision of the Veterinary Technician Manager (VTM) or Veterinary Technician Assistant Manager (VTAM) provide senior level veterinary technical support to ensure that Animal Care Services (ACS) goals related to research, husbandry and laboratory animal health and well-being are met. The VCT3 under the guidance and direction of the Clinical Veterinarians provides expertise in triage, assessment, treatment, surgery, behavior, sample collection, records documentation and follow up care. The VCT3 provides veterinary support and care to a wide range of species of animals including (but not limited to) mice, rats, rabbits, cats, dogs, pigs, chickens, frogs and zebra fish.
