This position will serve as the Operational Director of a series of programs at the University of Florida that utilize tissues obtained from organ donors to address important research questions, largely but not exclusively related to diabetes, including its pathogenesis and disease-related complications. Specific programs include the Network for Pancreatic Organ Donors with Diabetes (nPOD), NIH Cardiovascular Repository for Type 1 Diabetes (Care-T1D), NIH Human Pancreas Analysis Program-T1D (HPAP-T1D), Human Atlas of the Neonatal Development and Early Life Pancreas (HANDEL‐P), and others.
