The successful candidate will develop and direct research to determine the mechanisms under the pathophysiological development of Alzheimer’s disease-type neuropathology in mouse models of amyloid β and tau. As part of this, the successful candidate will 1) Independently determine and develop appropriate methods to allow for rigorous, controlled, and sensitive data collection using a variety of in vivo and in vitro methods, 2) Train and supervise lab staff in the execution of research methods and the subsequent data analysis, 3) Serve as a liaison between PI, lab staff, and collaborators to coordinate projects in an efficient manner, and 4) Independently synthesize results into peer-reviewed manuscripts and also deliver results at conferences.
