The College of Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for multiple open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions. One Assistant Professor-level tenure-track hire will join the Department of Neuroscience in the College of Medicine. The Department of Neuroscience is the second-oldest neuroscience department in the country and ranks among the top 5 in NIH research funding. The successful candidate will be positioned to develop an innovative research program that complements or expands existing strengths in normal cognitive aging or the neurobiology of aging. We seek highly collaborative colleagues, who will conduct outstanding, extramurally supported research, and who are excited to contribute to our growing training programs.
One Associate/Full Professor hire will join the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry or Neuroscience and receive an endowed Clinical Translational Research Chair supported by the McKnight Brain Research Foundation. The successful candidate will have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or Ph.D. and oversee a rigorous research program aimed at translating basic science discoveries into clinical application for slowing or averting cognitive decline in older adults. The successful candidate will join CAM Center leadership to pursue the overarching mission of advancing our understanding of brain aging in order to develop approaches that will help people age with optimal cognitive and functional capacity throughout the lifespan.
