Job Description:

This position includes delegated portions of the UF Information Security Manager (ISM) role including implementation and management of technical controls and documentation related to information security of information systems managed or controlled by UF Health. This includes ensuring compliance with authentication management requirements, development of contingency plans, implementing controls for all remote access methods, and oversight of system security.

Work with the UF Health Network Infrastructure and other teams to provide technical design, implementation, maintenance, and system administration of IT systems and appliances related to safeguarding UF Health information assets.  Maintain knowledge of newest features.

Maintain day-to-day processes (e.g., investigating system/application failures/events, and maintaining access controls systems with minimal adverse impact to customers and IT).  Resolve issues timely and thoroughly.  Coordinate and communicate with primary stakeholders.  Determine root cause of issues and follow up on all matters.  Seek and recommend support process improvements.  Manage Tier 1 and escalated Tier 2 service requests in the service desk queue.  Responsible for tracking service requests.

Formulate and implement monitoring and reporting procedures for IT systems and appliances related to safeguarding UF Health information assets.  Initiate work plans with UF Health IT and other departments to remediate issues

Responsible for leading medium/large sized projects and directing the project efforts of two or more people.  Assist in planning and coordinating IT projects, including scheduling, executing, and monitoring project tasks according to IT standards and management expectations.  Apply project management concepts and established procedures across multiple projects.  Prioritize tasks according to customer, department, and enterprise strategic objectives.

Establish and maintain organizational and operational manuals and knowledge base articles, keeps system information current and orderly, and provides detailed information in the work request and time tracking systems.  Compose written materials with verbal expression in a clear and concise manner that is appropriate for the audience intended.

Perform miscellaneous tasks (as assigned).  Engage in research and self-study for professional advancement.  Communicate/interact with peers and customers.

Expected Salary:

$66,000 - $69,388.16

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of appropriate experience; appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience
