Job Description:

The Sun laboratory at the University of Florida's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, in collaboration with the UF Neuroscience Institute and the McKnight Brain Institute, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral fellow. This unique position offers an opportunity to delve into the metabolic etiologies of brain aging and neurodegeneration, leveraging both mouse models and human biological samples.

Our lab is at the forefront of exploring the complex interactions within cellular metabolism that contribute to chronic and acute diseases. The selected candidate will be involved in pioneering research employing cutting-edge spatial technologies, including MALDI imaging and MRI, to dissect the intricate metabolic changes occurring in the brain during aging and in neurodegenerative conditions.

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $75,000 commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
