The Navigator builds and maintains relationships with PIs and Study Coordinators at the University of Florida, in order to offer participation in relevant research projects to community members through the HealthStreet model of community outreach and engagement. The Navigator oversees service quotes and space use agreements for investigators who wish to recruit for their studies using HealthStreet, then provides study details to Community Health Workers to link potential participants. Communicates regularly with PIs and Coordinators to track enrollments and ensure satisfaction. Updates the study database and trains HealthStreet staff and volunteers on placing study calls. Completes monthly billing for navigation services and space use, maintaining an organized log. Attends coordinator meetings to build relationships and may make presentations to research faculty and staff to promote collaboration.
- Maintains list of current UF research studies to which Community Health Workers can refer community members, and tracks referrals.
- Provides quotes to UF investigators for navigation services and space use, then completes monthly billing based on services provided.
- Communicates with PIs and study coordinators to provide participant contact information, tracks enrollments and promotes HealthStreet navigation services.
$17.00- $20.00 per hour, commensurate with education, skills, and experience
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Experience acting as a Study Coordinator, Research Coordinator, or Study Navigator preferred. Should be punctual, outgoing, communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), be committed to participant protection and privacy, have high personal integrity, and be willing to take initiative.

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours weekly, requires flexibility, as some evening and weekend hours may be needed.
