The incumbent maintains and repairs components of high voltage (4,160 to 22,900 volts (V) alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC)) electrical distribution systems and associated low voltage (120V to 600V) equipment. He/she assists with construction, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, modification, inspection, and management of electrical equipment, metering equipment, public lighting, power distribution systems, and other systems applicable to electrical overhead and underground distribution systems. The incumbent works with high voltage plants, substations (48VDC and 120VDC control circuits for relay tripping and auto shutdown), vaults, manholes, generators, switchgear, transformers, relays, and other equipment and fixtures (campus outdoor lighting system, including streetlights, parking lot lights, exterior building lights, and traffic signals). He/she splices and terminates primary and secondary cables. The incumbent installs and pulls slack out of primary and secondary wires. He/she assists in building transformer banks and transformer platforms. The incumbent connects, disconnects, and replaces service loops. He/she inspects and locates trouble in transformers and electrical disturbance apparatus and replaces fuses and other defective parts. The incumbent places cross arms and strings wires. He/she sets transformers and underground pedestals. The incumbent responds to electric system trouble calls. He/she keeps the crew truck stocked with necessary parts and materials.

The Clinical Research Coordinator 1 for the Division of Nephrology will participate in all aspects related to coordination of clinical research.
