Job Description:
  • Conduct review of IACUC protocol submissions, assist Principal Investigators/laboratory staff with protocol submissions, and serve as a liaison between the research community and the IACUC during protocol review
  • Coordinate inter-institutional/memorandum of understanding collaboration.
  • Perform correlation reviews of federal grants and IACUC protocols
  • Assist with training content development for protocol systems
  • Cross train and assist in other regulatory activities as needed

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with Education and Experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of experience in appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong preference for individuals with a proven track record as an IACUC coordinator, animal research lab manager, animal husbandry, or veterinarian technician.

Certification as an AALAS technician (ALAS, LAT, or LATG) or Certified Professional IACUC Administrator (CPIA) preferred.

Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to animal research, laboratory safety and biosafety.

Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, having the ability to interact with people from a wide range of scientific and medical experience.
