The Department of Epidemiology is recruiting a tenure or non-tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level. The non-tenure track line will be primarily expected to teach courses that support our undergraduate and graduate public health programs and serve as faculty advisor in the Bachelor of Public Health Program. The tenure-track line will also teach but will be expected to have a research portfolio, with the expectation to provide 50% funding support within the first three years of hire. The Department of Epidemiology is situated jointly within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine, demonstrating a model of multidisciplinary research and focus. Our current faculty are leaders in psychiatric epidemiology, aging, infectious disease, environmental, genetic and chronic disease epidemiology. In addition to our PhD program, we have an MS in epidemiology and a concentration in the MPH program. The department also has a vibrant research portfolio, with over $8 million in external funding.
Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Doctoral degree in a public health, epidemiology or related field
