The UF Health - Precision Health Research Center (PHRC) located in The Villages, FL, hosted within the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) seeks an enthusiastic and qualified individual to fill the Data Scientist IV position. This position will work with the PHRC Director as part of the leadership team to develop, implement, and coordinate data management in translational and implementation science research projects aimed at improving health care quality, outcomes and well-being for older adults. The Data Scientist IV at the PHRC will be responsible for selecting and applying appropriate analytical methods to answer questions and test hypotheses as specified by clinical researchers, administrators and clinicians. This position will require expertise in both database design and complex statistical methods and algorithms. Expected projects will include design of research and operational databases and statistical analyses, and development of reporting infrastructures. Providing leadership to domain experts on issues related to principles of data science and analytical methods. Prioritizing and coordinating multiple tasks so as to achieve tight deadlines (as determined by commitments to funding agencies), and complying in a timely manner with administrative requests and requirements.

The incumbent under direct supervision of the center director, oversees small projects or phases of a larger project for the center. Works with community partners to define project scope and objectives. Responsible for identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project. The Special Projects Coordinator will work in collaboration with project stakeholders within the center to define project scope, goals, and deliverables working towards center needs. Develops work plans, resource plans, project estimates and status reports as needed based upon the size, scope and expected resource utilization of each project. Ensures adherence to quality standards, UF policies, procedures and best practices, and reviews project deliverables.

Policy & Planning Analyst I 29680501 - MD-CTSI-TRANSL WORKFORCE DEVT Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
The Policy & Planning Analyst I will use GatorTrain, a designed-in-house database, to collect, curate and disseminate the educational history, UF training records, and career outcomes of every PhD student and Postdoctoral trainee belonging to the Health Science Center’s 6 colleges (and affiliated departments outside those colleges). The Policy & Planning Analyst I will collect this data, maintain quality control on the results, and will classify the professional outcomes according to a nationally recognized taxonomy. De-identified results will be made available to PhD programs, departments and other stakeholders for marketing and reporting purposes. The Policy & Planning Analyst I will coordinate aspects of data collection with UF’s existing data warehouse systems and develop new reports and surveys on an as-needed basis. The Policy & Planning Analyst I will communicate trends in the job market to those responsible for designing curricula and other trainee experiences throughout the HSC, and to the Biomedical Research Career Development Office for the adaptation of its Professional Skills workshops. The Policy & Planning Analyst I will prepare the data tables required for every NIH training grant application, renewal, and progress report, and will support the websites of every training program with the alumni data specific to that program.
