(35%) - Responsible for developing, implementing and assessing the career education and career readiness components of the the comprehensive industry and career engagement plan for career services staff embedded within the university’s colleges. The engagement plan focus on the unique career readiness and employment needs of students within various colleges. The incumbent will create strategies, programs and resources to support tailored career education and career competency integration within the academic units. Stays current with recent trends, resources, and research addressing student career issues and incorporates information into goal-setting and leadership of the Industry Engagement Team. Develops, fosters, and maintains relationships with academic colleges, employers for the benefit of students’ career development and employment opportunities. Conducts various consultations and meetings to increase student career preparedness and employment opportunities for UF students. Collaborates with other functional areas of CRC to provide coordinated management of services. Serves as a member of the CRC leadership team.
(30%) - Provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to full-time professional staff members, as well as student assistants and/or graduate students to support the industry engagement and college career readiness model. Provides career coaching training and education for staff embedded into the colleges. Works with supervisor in managing a budget to support the assigned team and infrastructure.
(20%) - Responsible for working with supervisor to implement the comprehensive industry engagement plan for career services staff embedded within the university’s colleges. Conducts new employer outreach and recruitment initiatives. Coordinates with college embedded staff to outreach to new/inactive employers for recruitment at the university. Provides university recruitment resources, education and campus connections to support UF employers hiring UF students for employment success.
(10%) - Serves as the liaison and/or backup to staff assigned to specific colleges/units within the University of Florida, focusing on career readiness and advancing center’s mission. Delivers outreach presentations to classes and student organizations within that/those colleges. Provides career and job search coaching to students including, but not limited to, preparing for career fairs, conducting internship and job search, the internet job search and other topics as requested by student groups and/or faculty.
(5%) - Oversees assessments, data tracking and analysis relative to new employer outreach and industry engagement activities representing students, campus partners and employers.
