Content Development Coordination; Plan and develop website designs that mesh with the current College goals. Work with stakeholders to promote content ideation and prepare copy. Lead student staff in their efforts to collect material, write, and publish content. Create and develop content that is search-engine optimized for the college's web presence; craft copy to lead design for new sites. Mock-up new site designs based on usability case studies and end-user requirements. Implement changes, keeping within UF policy guidelines and usability standards. Maintain consistent look and feel throughout all web properties. Audit current content on webpages, and edit or format to meet end-user needs.
Research and Planning; Conduct ongoing user testing to gauge effectiveness of websites. Gather data from both user testing and Google Analytics reports to make data driven decisions. Stay abreast of new technologies in the web design field that improve site usability and productivity in developing and/or maintaining websites. Regularly review and critically compare COE's website to high-quality websites of other academic institutions. Analyze data to determine best information architecture, including menus, page layout, and relationship between sub-sites and pages. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data. Communicating results of research to administration, directors, department chairs, and various stakeholders.
End-User Support; Offer content management system (CMS) training to program coordinators, graduate assistants and anyone else responsible for updating their area's content (Wordpress). Respond to end-user questions and problems related to the website and CMS usage.
Micro Platform Marketing; Social Media Marketing Strategist (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram); work with local departments to collect content for publication. Provides support for the collection of insights and analytics related to the impact of implemented social media campaigns, marketing campaigns, and other communications products/output. Manage the production of communications in accordance with strategic plan.
Lead collaborative team program on campaign-specific website design and build projects. These pages and associated marketing materials (ad campaigns designed and co-developed with Creative Services) are produced regularly for the College and degree/certificate programs. Additionally, "light" marketing tools, such as Google AdWords and AdSense are used for the announcement and awareness campaigns associated with specific programs.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of E-Learning, Technology, and Creative Services and the Dean and Associate Dean of the College.
