The University of Florida Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, part of UF Health, the Southeast's most comprehensive academic health center, invites applicants for a full-time clinical track faculty position in Advanced Endoscopy.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in ERCP, EUS, enteral stenting, EMR, deep enteroscopy, and RFA. The Advanced Endoscopy program currently has 5 faculty members and provides service to both UF Health Shands Hospital and the nearby Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. We currently offer EUS, ERCP, EMR and ESD, POEMS, deep spiral enteroscopy, enteral stenting, lumen restoration, RFA, and cryotherapy. Clinical duties would include weekly outpatient clinics, performing advanced endoscopic procedures, and staffing of the GI inpatient and consult services at UF Health Shands Hospital. The endoscopy unit at UF Health is state of the art, and the advanced endoscopy program is supported by a dedicated patient Nurse Navigator. Multiple collaborative research opportunities exist in the areas of pancreatic diseases, GI malignancy, experimental and animal endoscopy, new technology development, and obesity. The program trains 1-2 fourth year advanced endoscopy fellows each year, and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows is also expected. A leadership role is possible for the highly qualified candidate. Academic appointment is commensurate with experience.
Joint faculty appointment at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center is possible for the interested candidate.
