| We are seeking an Assistant Director of Facilities Operations to join the Student Health Care Center (SHCC). This leader assists the Associate Dir of Admin Services in overseeing building operations, maintenance, repair, and facilities planning for a complex healthcare facility. SHCC is a 46,000-sq-ft, three-story building housing four clinics, a pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and pathology. The facility includes 30 exam rooms and 25 restrooms, supporting ~48,000 patient visits annually, with the pharmacy filling over 24,000 prescriptions each year.
This position oversees day-to-day operations, including custodial, maintenance, and facilities support to ensure a safe, clean, fully functional environment. The Ast Dir supervises a Custodial Superintendent, Maintenance Worker II, and indirectly five Custodial Workers. Responsibilities include scheduling maintenance and custodial operations; coordinating repairs, renovations, and construction; overseeing HVAC and other systems, including computer-based monitoring and troubleshooting; and ensuring all work meets health, safety, and University standards.
In addition, the Ast Dir develops and revises operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient, compliant, and sustainable practices; negotiates and manages contracts related to building maintenance and services to ensure fiscal responsibility; and works collaboratively with leadership to align facility operations with the mission and needs of the Student Health Care Center. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day facility operations of the SHCC.
