| This full-time position is with the Wetland Biogeochemistry Laboratory (WBL) in the Soil and Water Sciences Department, Gainesville, Florida. This position requires both operation and maintenance of various laboratory instrumentation and equipment, including segmented flow autoanalyzers, carbon/nitrogen analyzers, and spectrophotometry. Assignments to other instruments and duties such as digestions, extractions, sample receipt/prep, cleaning, etc. is expected as per the need. Good computer skills and must be a team player with a high degree of communication skills. Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) for certified and standard analyses, data acquisition, processing, reviewing, reporting, instrument maintenance, chemical inventories are highly desired. Ability to assist in method improvements/development and train backup person(s) as needed. |
