| This position is Time Limited and works independently under the supervision of the Microbiology and Cell Science Department Manager, Accounting and serves as backup to other administrative staff. Must work with precision and accuracy and be well versed in all phases of the accounting functions. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, record keeping, reporting, award management and administration, pre-award processing, and assistance to faculty, students, and staff.

An NIH funded postdoctoral position is available for a candidate that seeks to be part of an interdisciplinary team investigating the role of a new probiotic in patients with type 1 diabetes. Our lab isolated a strain of Lactobacillus johnsonii N6.2 that prevents the onset of type I diabetes in a rodent model. |

| The Square Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida is seeking a postdoctoral associate to perform research on the genetic control of skeletal development. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects focused on understanding fundamental developmental biology principles using fish models (zebrafish and stickleback fish). Our current funding is focused on understanding the cell signaling events and genetic cascades that control the differentiation of skeletons and teeth. |
