| Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, a component of the Dean of Students Office, is responsible for addressing alleged violations of the University of Florida Student Conduct Code and Honor Code. The Assistant Director assists in the overall administration of the student conduct system by overseeing academic misconduct cases and student conduct cases, including those involving student organizations. The Assistant Director resolves assigned cases through administrative reviews and hearings, interprets and administers the Student Conduct Code and Honor Code, develops outreach education programs, and assists with the coordination of committee member selection and training, including the opportunity to co-teach the 3-credit Student Conduct Committee Training class. In addition to case resolution, Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution utilizes other forms of conflict resolution to address student behavior. The Assistant Director collaborates with both on-campus and off-campus partners to ensure effective execution of departmental processes, leading to successful outcomes. This individual will need to be committed to a non-adversarial, educational, restorative, and learning-based conduct philosophy and ensure that all educational programs, sanctions, and hearings reinforce the overall concept of student development, education, and restorative principles. |

The Ast Dir supervises a Custodial Superintendent, Maintenance Worker II, and indirectly five Custodial Workers. Responsibilities include scheduling maintenance and custodial operations; coordinating repairs, renovations, and construction; overseeing HVAC and other systems, including computer-based monitoring and troubleshooting; and ensuring all work meets health, safety, and University standards.
In addition, the Ast Dir develops and revises operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient, compliant, and sustainable practices; negotiates and manages contracts related to building maintenance and services to ensure fiscal responsibility; and works collaboratively with leadership to align facility operations with the mission and needs of the Student Health Care Center. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day facility operations of the SHCC. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all building systems and services, supporting the delivery of quality healthcare in a clean, well-maintained, and functional environment.
