Responsibilities of the position include:
• Teaching lower-division Spanish courses for UF Online, with occasional assignments in the Spanish online residential program; the teaching distribution for this position will be three courses per semester plus a summer assignment.
• Working closely with the UF Online Spanish Coordinator and the Director of Language Instruction to assist in coordinating Lower Division Spanish language online courses and to train and supervise graduate teaching assistants.
• Participating in departmental duties, including committee work, ongoing training in pedagogy, curriculum development, and supervision of instructors.
The ideal candidate will have: a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Spanish or a closely related field (M.A. or M.Ed. will be considered if other qualifications are outstanding); native or native-like fluency in English and Spanish; demonstrated excellence as an online instructor; and exceptional organizational and mentorship skills.
