The Nextgen DNA sequencing laboratory mission is to provide researchers access to custom and high-throughput, project-oriented DNA sequencing. The position of Core Research Facility Technician III in the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology (ICBR) requires training in molecular biology with hands on experience in DNA library construction for the Illumina and Oxford NanoPore (ONT) next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms. The Core Research Facility Technician III will contribute to the support of research projects conducted in the ICBR NGS Core lab.  Responsibilities include performing quality control (QC) assays of samples, construction of high-quality sequencing libraries (Illumina, PacBio and ONT), protocol troubleshooting, set-up of instrument runs and machine maintenance. This individual will need to exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills.
