| This position is located in the Vegetable Entomology laboratory at the UF IFAS Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Wimauma, FL The position is responsible for producing and maintaining plants in growth room, greenhouse and field environments, establishing and maintain field trials at GCREC, traveling to farm sites across Florida to collect insect populations, and maintaining insect populations under growth room conditions. The position is responsible for calculating, preparing and applying insecticide treatments in laboratory and field settings. In addition, the position involves collecting plant and insect samples, and identifying and counting insect samples under a microscope. |
