The Veterinary Hospital Supervisor will be an integral member of the Emergency and Critical Care service, acting as a point of contact for all activities relating to the veterinary assistant and volunteer staff. Primary job duties include managing the hiring, orienting, and daily operations of veterinary assistants working in the area, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the area, acting as trainer for continual education of staff concerning basic-to-advanced technical skills, and orienting and training the volunteer team. This position acts as a working supervisor, providing regular direct on-the-work-floor oversight. Incumbents must possess a strong knowledge of veterinary nursing care and techniques.
