The individual in this position will be involved in bench and animal work to support the research projects in a neuropharmacology laboratory. The applicant needs to be able to accurately perform basic lab bench work to provide supporting data to other member’s projects, therefore manual dexterity, and attention to detail is an essential skill for the position. Wet lab experience and/or neuroscience knowledge is desired but not required for this position. Another major role of the applicant will be to manage the animal colony and assist with animal related procedures. Willingness to work with rodents is needed for this position. Previous experience with mouse handling is not required but is highly desired. Lastly, as supporting technician, the applicant will be performing the basic experimental and administrative groundwork for more complex studies and will monitor and update multiple electronic records for the laboratory.
