The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Florida (www.languages.ufl.edu), College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Instructional Professor in Italian Language and Culture, to begin August 16, 2025. This is a full-time, renewable, nine-month, non-tenure accruing position. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a robust program in Foreign Languages and Literatures by performing the following duties: 1) teach three undergraduate language and culture classes per semester; 2) contribute to the development and growth of the Italian program; 3) provide service to the Italian program, the department, and the university. Under certain circumstances, the successful candidate may also 4) participate in experiential learning opportunities such as summer study abroad and 5) teach upper-level courses in Italian cultural fields that might include Medieval and Early Modern Studies and Play Production.
