| The University of Florida Digital Worlds Institute in the College of the Arts is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach DIG3124 Principles of Interaction and Usability for Spring 2027. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of interaction design fundamentals and usability principles, with hands-on expertise in prototyping platforms such as Figma, and code editors like Visual Studio. They must be skilled in user research, data collection, and able to transform findings into wireframes, flowcharts, and functional prototypes, and experienced in facilitating collaborative group projects and user testing. A background in HCI or related disciplines, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student-centered learning will be highly valued.
The course requires the instructor of record to provide in person lectures, grading, office hours, and student feedback. This position requires an estimated 10 hours/week to support this course. This time-limited appointment is from January 1, 2027, to May 15, 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the education and success of our students.
